When Sega wanted to celebrate the release of its  “Aliens: Colonial Marines" video game in a big way, it engaged Weavr to plan, negotiate and execute a large, multi-brand promotion. Weavr subsequently paired Sega with Monster Energy and Wal-Mart in a 2,000+ store event, in which consumers received exclusive downloadable codes on Monster’s multi-packs. Promotional TV and radio, and co-branded POP in both the consumables and electronics departments of War-Mart supported the program. The result was other-wordly: 1 million Sega games sold at the retailer in less than 3 weeks, and Monster reported a 15% sales increase at Wal-Mart over same period in the prior year.
